FAQ

  • How long have you been in business?

We commenced in 2015 in Nyngan NSW and moved to the Hunter Valley in 2024.

  • Where are you located?

I run a small home office at 1 Dargin Close Singleton. Usually I travel to meet you in your home or business at a time that suits you. I try to be flexible in this area.

  • What are your qualifications?

I became a Chartered Accountant in 2011. I received my Public Practicing Certificate in 2015 and I am also a registered Tax Agent and ASIC Agent. You can search for me here:

  • How do I know you are the right accountant for me?

I have a broad skill set and many years of experience. But what sets me apart is my focus on making business work around life and family. I operate a small business too so I get it.

If you want someone who explains things simply, offers options and strategies and focusses on clear communication then we will be a good fit.

  • What are your fees and costs?

I offer a free first consultation. This allows both of us to get to know each other and what your needs are. In this meeting we will discuss how I work, what my fees are, what your role is and how to get the most out of the relationship. There is no obligation and we will only move forward if its a good fit.

  • What is agent to client linking?

The ATO has commenced a new agent to client linking process from November 2023. In the past tax agents could add you to our client portal using your tax file number. Due to a rise in fraud and identity theft, the client now has to nominate their agent for all ABN entities.

You can find further information and the steps to link here:

  • Do you do pro bono work?

I take great pride in my local community so whilst I don’t offer free engagements I do have a low cost service for small community and sporting groups.

I also hold board positions with a number of not-for-profits and incorporated ventures. Please reach out if I can assist.

  • What is AML/CTF

From 1 July 2026 Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF) monitoring now applies to the accounting industry. This is administered by AUSTRAC and requires deeper background checks and reporting on clients activities and source of funds.

  • Does AML/CTF apply to me?

The increased checks only apply when a designated service is offered. This includes advice regarding the setup of new legal structures, purchasing or selling a business, establishing loans including Director Loans and updates via ASIC to companies.
